Cross County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Piggott on Thursday. The Thunderbirds blew past the Mohawks 21-9. The Thunderbirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 12 runs or more this season.

The victory got Cross County back to even at 10-10. As for Piggott, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Cross County will challenge Westside at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Thunderbirds are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Piggott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
