Football Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Northeastern's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Northeastern and Anna squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Northeastern had to settle for second. They came up short against the Rockets, falling 28-8. The Jets were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the four games prior), but the Rockets' defense proved too tough.

Diezel Taylor threw for 84 yards on eight of 16 attempts. Jacoby Newman was his top target, picking up 48 receiving yards. On the ground, Cody Houseman rushed for 70 yards.

With the defeat, Northeastern broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2. As for Anna, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Northeastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anna, they will venture away from home to take on Coldwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers' defense has only allowed 14.5 points per game this season, so the Rockets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
