Baseball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was the 10-0 winner over Gilmer when they last played one another back in March of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The Marshall Mavericks lost 9-3 to the Gilmer Buckeyes on Thursday.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Gilmer, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Marshall will square off against Paris at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Marshall is facing Paris at the right time seeing as Paris is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Gilmer, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Kaufman on the 27th.
