Basketball Recap: Streamwood Starts off Right with Win over Addison Trail

Streamwood had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 61-23 win over the Addison Trail Blazers. The Sabres not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 23, 2024 (when they won 68-24).

Ayumi Ishikawa had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna Coffey, who posted five points and eight boards.

Addison Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Streamwood will challenge Maine West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Addison Trail, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Leyden at 6:30 p.m. on December 1.
