Parkdale is 0-9 against Flowers since October of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Jaguars at 2:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.
Parkdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Bladensburg 56-6 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Flowers strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 35-13 margin over DuVal. The Jaguars' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Parkdale better keep an eye on Kodi Gardner. He was instrumental in Flowers' win, rushing for 140 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Gardner really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run.
Flowers' run defense was locked in: DuVal could only muster -0.9 yards per carry. While four picked up at least three total tackles, Caleb Peterson stood above the rest. He picked up three sacks and made three total tackles. Flowers didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.6.
Flowers' defense didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Peterson and Jordan Williams, who racked up five sacks between them. Williams also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.
Flowers' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Parkdale, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
Parkdale was dealt a bruising 46-0 defeat at the hands of Flowers in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Panthers, Adrian Favors (who rushed for 53 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 162 yards and two TDs on only 12 passes) won't be suiting up this time.
