Basketball Recap: Westmoreland Comes Up Short

Westmoreland was the 44-36 winner over Jackson County when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Westmoreland Eagles took a 42-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jackson County Blue Devils on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 110th).

Westmoreland's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Jackson County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Westmoreland nor Jackson County have any future games scheduled.
