The Thomas Jefferson Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Colonial Heights Colonials at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Thomas Jefferson sitting on eight straight victories and Colonial Heights on three.
Last Friday, Thomas Jefferson strolled past Armstrong/Kennedy with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. Thomas Jefferson pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Armstrong/Kennedy cut but never quite recovered from.
Thomas Jefferson's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Myles Anderson, who gained 105 total yards and two touchdowns, and Rashaud Cherry, who rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Meanwhile, Colonial Heights can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 28-7 margin over Petersburg.
Thomas Jefferson's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35 points. As for Colonial Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Thomas Jefferson ended up a good deal behind Colonial Heights in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, losing 28-13. Can Thomas Jefferson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
