Glascock County easily dispatched John Hancock Academy last Monday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Glascock County Panthers fell just short of the David Emanuel Academy Eagles by a score of 60-58 on Tuesday. One positive for the Panthers, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

David Emanuel Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Fields led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine boards. Peyton Lee was another key player, putting up 18 points and five rebounds.

Glascock County's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for David Emanuel Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Briarwood Academy the next time they take the court. Glascock County will host Briarwood Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while David Emanuel Academy will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
