Basketball Recap: Ira's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ira had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Highland Hornets 41-38. For the Bulldogs, this counts as revenge for the 48-29 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Ira is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for Highland, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ira will be home for the holidays to greet Roby at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland, they will welcome Grady at 2:15 p.m. on Friday.
