Normal University is a perfect 8-0 against Decatur Eisenhower since August of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pioneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Normal University will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Normal University is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Illinois' top teams: Normal Community, who was ranked 13th at the time (Normal University was ranked 17th). The Pioneers came out on top against the Ironmen by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.

Normal University never let Normal Community on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Decatur Eisenhower, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They skirted past Meridian 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 21, 2024.

Decatur Eisenhower had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-23, 25-16.

Normal University's record now sits at 16-4. As for Decatur Eisenhower, their record is now 4-18.

Normal University was able to grind out a solid win over Decatur Eisenhower when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pioneers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
