Football Recap: Springlake-Earth Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Springlake-Earth was the 71-34 winner over Paducah when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines were dealt a 73-24 loss at the hands of the Dragons on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly 49 points.

Paducah was led to victory by Darren Mackey and Ethan Garibaldi. Mackey threw for 152 yards and five touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, while Garibaldi gained 156 total yards and four touchdowns. The Dragons' leading receiver Ben Cruz was Mackey's top target yet again, picking up 83 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Springlake-Earth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Paducah, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Springlake-Earth wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 72-26 win against Petersburg on the 12th. As for Paducah, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 82-63 victory against Wellman-Union on the 11th.
