Northumberland dropped their record down to 11-4 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 4-0 to the Rappahannock Raiders. The Indians were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three games prior), but the Raiders' pitcher proved too tough.

As for Rappahannock, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 12-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games.

For Rappahannock's part, not much got past Mckenzie Withers, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Northumberland off the board. Withers has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rappahannock saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Autumn Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Raiders beat Northumberland by a score of 17-0 on Monday.
