Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Courtland). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Spotsylvania Knights 55-28. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Knights are ranked 374th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Courtland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Schalkofski, who posted 12 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Airyana Maze, who had 12 points.
