Baseball Recap: Winnfield Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Winnfield challenged Sterlington on Friday. The Tigers lost 12-2 to the Panthers. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

Winnfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Brister, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Winnfield now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Sterlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winnfield will challenge St. Mary at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sterlington, they will take on Iowa at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
