Basketball Game Preview: Nunamiut Amaguq vs. Fort Yukon Eagles

The Nunamiut Amaguq will head out on the road to challenge the Fort Yukon Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Nunamiut can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Thursday. They lost 63-38 to Cook Inlet Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Amaguq have suffered since February 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, Fort Yukon got the win against Andrew K. Demoski on Saturday by a conclusive 59-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Fort Yukon's win came from a few key players Nunamiut will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ben Carroll, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Marsten Capelli, who earned 15 points.

Everything came up roses for Nunamiut against Fort Yukon when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 73-33 win. Does Nunamiut have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fort Yukon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
