Volleyball Recap: Stanley-Boyd's Undefeated Season over After 12 Games

Stanley-Boyd lost against River Falls back in August of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Orioles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The loss was the Orioles' first of the season.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-11.

Amanda Lew paced Stanley-Boyd's offense, picking up six kills. Lew got some help from Bailey Sikora and her 12 assists. Finally, Layla Klisiewicz kept Stanley-Boyd's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stanley-Boyd fell to 11-1. As for River Falls, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanley-Boyd will face off against Ellsworth on Thursday. As for River Falls, they will square off against Menomonie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
