Basketball Recap: Benton Harbor Comes Up Short

Benton Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Berrien Springs Shamrocks and fell 68-9. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 610th, while the Shamrocks are ranked 135th).

Benton Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Berrien Springs, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benton Harbor will square off against Coloma at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Berrien Springs, they will face off against Paw Paw at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Berrien Springs is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Paw Paw a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
