            Baseball Recap: Sehome Mariners vs. Lakewood Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            Sehome won the last time they faced Lakewood and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Mariners put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp  8-2 win. The  victory was familiar territory for the Mariners, who have now won four  contests in a row.

  Hudson Neff was  incredible,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Tyson Goodman, who  went 1-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
Sehome pushed their record up to 10-9 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lakewood, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record  this season.
 Sehome will head out to  square off against Sedro-Woolley  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Mariners are facing the Cubs at the right time seeing as the Cubs are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Lakewood, they will take on Lynden Christian at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. The Cougars will also cruise into their next  game with the timing on their side: the Lyncs will have lost three straight heading into Saturday's  contest.
