Heritage had won eight straight road games and Bryson Howard did his part to make it nine on Friday. The Heritage Coyotes really took it to the Emerson Mavericks for the full four quarters, racking up an 89-54 win thanks in part to Howard, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played.

Mikhail Patel was another key player, going 6 for 12 en route to 17 points along with eight boards and five steals. What's more, he also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024.

Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. As for Emerson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-13.

Heritage and Emerson should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Heritage (ranked 15th) will meet Independence (ranked 338th) at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.4 points per game this season.
