Football Recap: Auburn Falls to Williamsville in First Game of Season

Auburn unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Williamsville Bullets 42-7 on Friday. The Trojans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.

Williamsville had a senior duo take command as Matthew Miller gained 56 total yards and four touchdowns and Jackson Sanders threw for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes.

Looking ahead, Auburn will head out to take on New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Williamsville, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central/Greenview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
