Baseball Recap: Elwood Takes a Loss

Elwood came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-3 to the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers. The Panthers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Elwood saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Gordon, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Brylen Mort was another, going 3-for-4 with one run.

Elwood's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Alexandria-Monroe, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Elwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Madison-Grant at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Alexandria-Monroe will face off against rival Eastbrook at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
