Soccer Recap: Nacogdoches Takes a Loss

Nacogdoches was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Texas Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 575th, while the Tigers are ranked 281st).

Nacogdoches' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Texas, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4-1.

Looking ahead, Nacogdoches will venture away from home to take on Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Texas, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Texas challenge the Tyler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
