Softball Game Preview: Waterville Panthers vs. Belfast Lions

The Waterville Panthers will square off against the Belfast Lions at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Waterville has now lost 11 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 27.

Waterville came up short against Spruce Mountain on Monday, falling 17-1. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Belfast was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Camden Hills by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Windjammers: they've now lost six in a row.

Waterville's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Belfast, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
