Softball Recap: Kettle Moraine Lutheran Takes a Loss

Kettle Moraine Lutheran fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Plymouth on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 11-10. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Elizabeth Ehlke was cooking despite her team's loss, going 4-for-6 with three RBI and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenzie Luehring, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and one stolen base.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Plymouth, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Kettle Moraine Lutheran will take on Cedarburg at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plymouth, they will challenge Winneconne at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
