The Bell Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Countryside Christian Minutemen at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Bell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Bell earned an 8-3 win over Lafayette.

Alaina Thomas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Thomas was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Thomas wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mayzie Carpenter, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Another was Jodi Waddle, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Bell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Countryside Christian came up short against Riverside Christian on Thursday, falling 14-5.

Riley Keith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while going 4-for-4. Willow Keith also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Bell's record is now 4-7. As for Countryside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Bell took their victory against Countryside Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2016 by a conclusive 13-1. Will Bell repeat their success, or does Countryside Christian has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
