Basketball Recap: Van Takes a Loss

Van was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 34-7 loss at the hands of the Man Hillbillies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-14 back in December of 2024.

Piper Austin was Van's leading scorer, having posted four points. Hailey Tackett held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Van's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Man, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-5.

Van wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-15 defeat against Calhoun on the 17th. Man has also already played their next matchup (against Tolsia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
