Softball Recap: Romeo Bulldogs vs. Port Huron Northern Huskies
In Friday's Canine Competition, Romeo came out on top. They blew past the Port Huron Northern Huskies 16-10 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Jess McLeod was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Julia Lentine, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
Romeo now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Port Huron Northern, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Looking ahead, Romeo will challenge Regina at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Regina's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Romeo's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Port Huron Northern, they will take on St. Clair at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Saints will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
