After flying high against Esperanza last Saturday, Santiago came back down to earth. The Santiago Sharks fell just short of the Chino Hills Huskies by a score of 62-60 on Monday. The Sharks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Santiago's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Chino Hills, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Santiago and Chino Hills should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Santiago (ranked 95th) will meet Patriot (ranked 919th) at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Chino Hills will square off against California School for the Deaf-Riverside at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday up 775 places (36 vs. 811).
