Softball Preview: Guntersville Wildcats vs. Arab Knights

After two games on the road, Guntersville is heading back home. They will take on the Arab Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Guntersville fell victim to New Hope and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They suffered a rough 13-0 loss at the hands of the Indians. The shutout was out of character for Guntersville seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in February.

Meanwhile, Arab fell victim to a tough 14-2 defeat at the hands of Pell City on Saturday.

Arab saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Livingston, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Guntersville dropped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Arab, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 16 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.
