Basketball Recap: Plainfield East Skates Past Romeoville with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yorkville, Plainfield East was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Romeoville Spartans 58-29. That 29 point margin sets a new team best for the Bengals this season.

Despite the loss, Romeoville still got an impressive performance from Kazaria Smith, who posted 15 points. Smith's evening made it 21 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Plainfield East moved to 4-17 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. As for Romeoville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Plainfield East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-38 loss against Oswego on the 23rd. As for Romeoville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 66-39 defeat against Yorkville on the 23rd.
