It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact West Point can now relate to. They fell 31-19 to the Brookhaven Panthers on Thursday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Green Wave, who until this game were averaging 10.86 points allowed.

When it comes to explaining why West Point lost, don't look at Quentin Thompson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 112 yards, and also threw for 57 yards and one touchdown. Thompson's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.

Brookhaven was led to victory by Caiden Quarles and Jaden Allen. Quarles rushed for 138 yards and one score, while Allen rushed for 60 yards and one TD.

Having lost for the first time this season, West Point fell to 13-1. As for Brookhaven, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

As of now, neither West Point nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
