Basketball Game Preview: Evergreen Wolverines vs. Highline Pirates

The Evergreen Wolverines will head out to square off against the Highline Pirates at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Evergreen lost 50-30 to Renton on Friday. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Highline was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 34-29 to Cedarcrest.

Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Highline, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Evergreen against Highline in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 47-11 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Evergreen since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
