Softball Game Preview: Making Waves Academy Marlins vs. Valley Christian Vikings

The Making Waves Academy Marlins will challenge the Valley Christian Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Making Waves Academy and five for Valley Christian dating back to last season.

Making Waves Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 23 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against California School for the Deaf on Wednesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 15-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Valley Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 21-10 to Tennyson on Tuesday.

Making Waves Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Valley Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Everything went Making Waves Academy's way against Valley Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Making Waves Academy made off with a 35-15 win.
