Savana Soltero was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Sieana Soltero was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Rowan Asanovich, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Heritage Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Mohave Accelerated put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They put the hurt on North Valley Christian Academy with a sharp 27-0 win. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Like Heritage Academy, Mohave Accelerated also got a great game from a two-way player: Megan Jones. On the mound, Jones didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Alyssa Laing tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jones has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Jones got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one triple, while Laing got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. With that strong performance, Jones is now averaging an impressive 1 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, Tanner Banks was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four stolen bases, six RBI, and four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Lamb, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, six RBI, and one triple.

Mohave Accelerated pushed their record up to 23-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Heritage Academy, their record now sits at 19-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Heritage Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mohave Accelerated struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Heritage Academy took their victory against Mohave Accelerated in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Heroes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
