Sherwood is a perfect 7-0 against McMinnville since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bowmen will welcome the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Sherwood will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Sherwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Century 49-10 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bowmen considering their 12-point performance the game before.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jack Wilson and Jayden Wallace. Wilson gained 60 total yards and three touchdowns while Wallace gained 72 total yards and two touchdowns. Wilson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending one pass. Brandon Colli made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Sherwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brandon Arreguin, Nathanael Fagan, and Colli picked up one apiece. Colli got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Sherwood, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Wilson, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, McMinnville had to suffer through a 35-7 loss at the hands of Newberg. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Tigers are ranked 23rd).

Sherwood's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for McMinnville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Sherwood against McMinnville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-34 victory. In that contest, the Bowmen amassed a halftime lead of 48-20, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
