Soccer Game Preview: Banning vs. Warren

The Banning Broncos will challenge the Warren Bears at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Banning is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Chino a 1-0 shutout. The result kept the Broncos happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 21st.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Christopher Ibarra, who's now up to 16 this season.

Meanwhile, Warren had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Barons. Four seems to be a good number for the Bears as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Warren pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Banning, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
