The Steele Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Johnson Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Steele will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Friday, Steele really took it to Canyon for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Micah Sheeler had a dynamite game, picking up 160 receiving yards and three TDs. He showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 60 yards. DJ Green was another key player, throwing for 227 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Steele didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Jayden Ghee picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Johnson beat Judson 17-10 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly seven points.
The critical scores for Johnson came from Jett Hickson and Kolbie Brown.
Steele's record now sits at 8-1. As for Johnson, their record is now 3-6.

It's a different story for Johnson, though, as they've been averaging only 233 total yards. Will Steele be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Jaguars flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Steele against Johnson in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 70-14 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Jaguars' Tim Mata, who rushed for 64 yards and one score, and also picked up 41 receiving yards and one TD. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Knights still be able to contain Mata? There's only one way to find out.
