Recap: Medina Battling Bees vs. Wadsworth Grizzlies
The Medina Battling Bees had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Wadsworth 22-19. Winning may never get old, but Medina sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Danny Stoddard threw for 196 yards and a touchdown. Austin Knowles was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards. On the ground, Cooper Josefczyk rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown.
Medina has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Wadsworth, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-3.
Medina will take on Cleveland Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cleveland Heights is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games. Wadsworth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
