Baseball Recap: Hollister Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Hollister entered their tilt with Conway on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Bears 12-2. Considering the Tigers have won ten contests by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The result came thanks to Cason Kemp's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ceagan Riewski, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 11 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Kauffman, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI.

Hollister was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .529. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive games.

Hollister's victory bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Conway, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hollister will host Fair Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Conway, they will be playing at home against Mansfield at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
