Baseball Recap: Louisa-Muscatine Comes Up Short

Louisa-Muscatine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to the Highland Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on June 10th.

Louisa-Muscatine saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Rosenboom, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Brody Runnels also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Louisa-Muscatine's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Highland, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5.

Coming up, Louisa-Muscatine will square off against Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Highland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pekin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
