Basketball Recap: Springville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Springville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 65-58 victory over the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats. This was payback for the Orioles, who suffered a 69-56 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Springville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Maquoketa Valley, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-2.

Springville is taking a road trip to square off against Starmont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maquoketa Valley, they will be home for the holidays to greet Edgewood-Colesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
