Softball Game Preview: Ryan Raiders vs. Azle Hornets

The Ryan Raiders will take on the Azle Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Ryan saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Cleburne.

Olivia Buettner made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Buettner was also big at the plate, going a perfect2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Buettner wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kyndal Beamon, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Azle and Palmer finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 tie on Saturday.

Ryan's win bumped their record up to 3-1. With that tie, Azle's record moves to 1-1-1.
