Softball Recap: Goleman Comes Up Short

Goleman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hialeah Thoroughbreds, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thoroughbreds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 back in February.

Goleman saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Mata, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Mata brought in this season.

Goleman's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hialeah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goleman will head out to challenge Hialeah-Miami Lakes at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hialeah-Miami Lakes will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Goleman surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hialeah, they will face off against Hialeah Gardens at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hialeah Gardens is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.1 runs per game this season.
