Basketball Recap: Vandalia Christian Takes a Loss

Vandalia Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the Faith Christian Eagles. The contest was a 28-28 toss-up at halftime, but the Vikings couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Vandalia Christian still got an impressive performance from Izzi Settle, who posted 25 points along with six boards and four steals. Chase Buie was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.

Vandalia Christian's record is now 0-11. As for Faith Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vandalia Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tabernacle Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Faith Christian, they will welcome Rockwell Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian is facing Rockwell Christian School at the right time seeing as Rockwell Christian School is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
