Baseball Recap: Seymour Comes Up Short

Seymour fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against A.C. Reynolds on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 6-5.

Seymour got a big performance out of Drew Childress, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Andrew Baird, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for A.C. Reynolds, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Seymour has already played their next contest, a 7-4 win against Morristown-Hamblen East on the 18th. As for A.C. Reynolds, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-6 defeat against Knoxville Central on the 18th.
