Softball Game Preview: Northwest Indians vs. Triway Titans

For the second straight game, Northwest will face off against Triway. The Indians will host the Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwest is looking for their season's first win.

Northwest fell victim to Triway and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Titans.

For Triway's part, the result came thanks to Lexi Long's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Myah Lester was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Hochstetler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Triway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 10-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Triway is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Northwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
