Basketball Recap: Anderson-Shiro Comes Up Short

Anderson-Shiro lost to Crockett back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fighting Owls received a blow as they fell 62-47 to the Bulldogs. The Fighting Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zay Butler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crockett, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 17 boards. Butler is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jahkeim McKnight, who posted 20 points and three steals.

Anderson-Shiro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Crockett, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-14.

Anderson-Shiro has already played their next matchup, a 117-58 loss against Onalaska on the 13th. As for Crockett, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-46 victory against Coldspring-Oakhurst on the 13th.
