Baseball Game Preview: William Campbell Generals vs. Prince Edward County Eagles

The William Campbell Generals will take on the Prince Edward County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. William Campbell is looking for their season's first win.

Thursday just wasn't the day for William Campbell's offense. They lost 12-0 to Nelson County on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Generals were not able to get on the board.

Prince Edward County not only won last Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 14, 2024. They put the hurt on Fork Union Military Academy with a sharp 14-5 victory.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Walker, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamron Ligon, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3.

Prince Edward County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

Prince Edward County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for William Campbell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
