Softball Recap: Southfield Christian Takes a Loss

Southfield Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Whitmore Lake Trojans, falling 18-10. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 18-8.

Chloe Schoon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Jordan Martin was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Southfield Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Whitmore Lake, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southfield Christian will venture away from home to square off against Greenhills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitmore Lake, they will head out to challenge Byron at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
