Baseball Game Preview: Northwest Wolves vs. Valley Tigers

The Northwest Wolves will take on the Valley Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Northwest sitting on four straight victories and Valley on eight.

Northwest barely beat A-D-M the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolves were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Tigers on Wednesday. The game marked the Wolves' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valley). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Roosevelt a 22-0 shutout on Friday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

Valley pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Northwest, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
